Succeed in Secret

The next time you have a project or a crazy idea keep it a secret as long as you can. Let that passion and excitement drive you. Let the hidden treasure you are hiding fuel you even more. There’s power in working quietly hidden away from prying eyes, people who don’t wish you well, and negative feedback in the stages you don’t need that kind of feedback. No one needs to know what seed you have planted, bury it and tend to it, grow it, and when the sprout turns into a flourishing plant it will be time for others to know. No one is going to believe in you as much as you believe in yourself, sabotage is real in your closest circles. Pessimism is a productivity killer. Stop wasting all of your energy talking about it to any and everyone who listens, waiting for that instant validation and gratification. Put your energy into doing and showing instead.

The fewer people know the less bad energy that can taint your plans. People can create negative energy even unintentionally, don’t curse it before you ever had a chance. No one can wish ill will toward something they know nothing about. Hold those cards close to your chest, and those aces up your sleeve. Just try it, even on a small level, you will notice a difference. I have made that mistake more times than I can count and it has sabotaged the heck out of big projects so go back to square one, rethink the entire thing, start over in a different direction, a different way. It’s natural when we are happy and excited to want to share with others, we want to shout it from the rooftops. Guard your energy, your personal energy, and the energy of your endeavors.

Keep yourself motivated, don’t rely on others to keep the flow of creativity flowing. Don’t let the parts that are not fun stop you, everything has aspects that are enjoyable and parts that are not. You may be surprised how many skills you have to contribute. We do learn from our mistakes. Apply those lessons to a modified approach. I want to see you grow. I hope to become a better version of myself, I hope to inspire others. I hope to help you find your inner light and remember how amazing you are. Every human being on Earth has the ability to be the greatest and worst of all things. Be the greatness you want to see, be the light in someone’s dark hallway, be the inspiration you wanted and needed so badly. I believe in you.

I was born and raised in the smallest of towns in Southwest Virginia. A town that is extraordinarily active, yet a town that is like it's very own little mini Bible belt. My dad was Baptist, my mom pentecostal, and I'm paranormal. I would venture to say it is somewhat of a family trait. One that is met with equal acceptance and curiosity as much as it is met with skepticism. Individually and collectively so much has been experienced and witnessed at times to such a degree that one might wonder how on earth there is room for doubt. I dont have all the answers, I do not have it all figured out. Im as human as everyone else relying heavily many mornings on a lot of coffee and a little Jesus. In fact, I can't decide what I want for dinner most days. One constant is I cannot go a single day without chocolate. Pour a cup of coffee, or a little tea and whiskey and join me in my confessions of a haunted freak.
