A Toast to 2022

I am trying to properly close out this year with acknowledgement and reflection by slamming the door. I want to close it out and give the new door opportunity to open up all new things. No sense in dwelling in the past. We tend to take a lot of the previous years baggage with us, some cannot be helped, most can. I will be doing a lot of small things to help release the old, like making a list of all of the things I want to let go off and then burning it. I will make a list for the month of January of all the things I want to focus on and leave it where it can be visited and viewed regularly. I will ask my guides for help in completing these things. I have a friend that is now doing hypnosis and I will be contacting her for a session to help with focus and procrastination.

Start off with a bang!

I am taking 2022 seriously with every intention of doing whatever it takes to reach goals. I plan to work a lot and settle debts and move forward on the pursuit of the types of things I want for my future and my family’s future. My children will be the center focus of my determination and goals. If not for myself, then for them I will accomplish everything I put my mind to this year. I have a few projects I planted seeds for this year and I plan to feed and them and watch them grow. This year will be a bit of a selfish year, where I focus on things I want, and self improvement. I am reaching deep to heal myself. I am excited and a bit nervous with anticipation for the future I am envisioning. No one will ever want you to succeed as much as yourself and frankly instead giving focus to what others think and allowing it to influence us, why don’t we just focus on what we think and answer to ourselves. Don’t waste your time proving others right or wrong, instead focus more on proving yourself right.

Take these days before the new start and redirect your focus toward what you want, give yourself a cleanslate and start over if you need to. I believe in you, but mostly I ask that you believe in yourself because it is all up to you what you achieve, what you put your time toward and what you put into it. It’s up to you to stop allowing people or things to drain you, only you can make the changes. I ask that you love yourself a little more unconditionally this year and stop allowing anyone in any walk of your life to treat you as less than or talk to you in a way you don’t like. I urge you to use the word no more and stay strong and true to it. Saying yes to everything will only deplete you. Saying no is necessary and it is important that you do it when you really don’t want to participate in something. I want to remind you that you don’t have to answer the call or take on others responsibility. You don’t have to drop anything if you don’t want to. You as a grown up need only to answer for yourself and to yourself in your personal life. Stop over explaining and don’t give the run down of who, what, when, where, and why because you don’t owe that and you aren’t obligated I wish the best for each and every one of you and I feel positive that you all will see beautiful changes in the coming year.

I was born and raised in the smallest of towns in Southwest Virginia. A town that is extraordinarily active, yet a town that is like it's very own little mini Bible belt. My dad was Baptist, my mom pentecostal, and I'm paranormal. I would venture to say it is somewhat of a family trait. One that is met with equal acceptance and curiosity as much as it is met with skepticism. Individually and collectively so much has been experienced and witnessed at times to such a degree that one might wonder how on earth there is room for doubt. I dont have all the answers, I do not have it all figured out. Im as human as everyone else relying heavily many mornings on a lot of coffee and a little Jesus. In fact, I can't decide what I want for dinner most days. One constant is I cannot go a single day without chocolate. Pour a cup of coffee, or a little tea and whiskey and join me in my confessions of a haunted freak.

  1. These seeds we sow can be interpreted as goals. We have planted, will continue planting as necessary. And in 2022 we begin watering them and watching them blossom into the vibrant garden we dream up. I will be setting lofty goals, myself. Most notably getting a new job.
