Passion, Purpose and Paranormal

If money were no object if you could do anything in the world, what would it be? What do you enjoy doing so much you want to do it every single day? These are questions that are good indicators of your passion and usually, passion and purpose go hand in hand. Please don’t let the idea of purpose overrun you, don’t turn purpose into a grandiose delusion. Purpose doesn’t necessarily come with obvious bells and whistles or acknowledgment, powerful purpose can be small and mostly unnoticed but big on impact. People don’t need to recognize you for your purpose to be worthy.

I forget sometimes all the ways messages and guidance come through. I have been landing on a lot of random talks radio and biblical passages and talks. Usually, the message applies, I don’t always remember to listen. This really picked up along the time I had the series of three knocks. Typically spiritually they mean mainly two things, the three knocks of death or God is knocking and leaving it to you to answer the door. I have been acknowledging it more and coming back to more of the teachings I was so faithful to as a child. I have learned how to reconcile the paranormal with Pentecostal as best anyone can. I am more about divine guidance and leaning into the divine right now than I have been for many years. Strange how things can come full circle.

I had taken a trip a few years back and I had got way too sleepy driving and most definitely had divine intervention. I found white feathers in the back of my car after that trip. It was strangely the anniversary of a friend passing away falling asleep at the wheel. I had done a portrait of him with wings the year before. That was no coincidence. I made it safe and sound home but I was definitely not alone.

I forget sometimes just as most of us do. We are not alone even when we think we are alone. At any given moment if we could see the realms overlap because they do, we would see a crowd at all times. So much happens we are unaware of. I love a good accidental time travel story or time slips. I believe it happens. This will sound crazy but when I was young a friend and I passed a car on a curvy mountain road, there was no one driving, we had a good view and nobody was in the car yet we passed this car. That was a bizarre experience for sure. My family definitely has many tales of strange. I need to sit and outline them so I can remember things to share. I had a crazy dream the other night and I had been in this place in a dream before. Do any of you have places and things you dream about more than once and once you are dreaming it you remember the previous dreams about it? I often wonder if we slip into alternate versions of ourselves in other worlds when we sleep. You never know, anything is possible.

I was born and raised in the smallest of towns in Southwest Virginia. A town that is extraordinarily active, yet a town that is like it's very own little mini Bible belt. My dad was Baptist, my mom pentecostal, and I'm paranormal. I would venture to say it is somewhat of a family trait. One that is met with equal acceptance and curiosity as much as it is met with skepticism. Individually and collectively so much has been experienced and witnessed at times to such a degree that one might wonder how on earth there is room for doubt. I dont have all the answers, I do not have it all figured out. Im as human as everyone else relying heavily many mornings on a lot of coffee and a little Jesus. In fact, I can't decide what I want for dinner most days. One constant is I cannot go a single day without chocolate. Pour a cup of coffee, or a little tea and whiskey and join me in my confessions of a haunted freak.

  1. Wow great post! Thought provoking. Well I love editing my own movie montages. I love mashing together famous movie scenes with popular music to try and create new meanings. I love doing that so much. Although, it’s hard to think of good ideas, and takes me so far into my own head, it sometimes makes it hard to keep up with real life. So doing this every day would be too much of a good thing.

  2. As for dreams. Yes! I revisit the same places. A house with an interior of very irregular sharp angles. Hidden rooms, etc.

I also have a recurring nightmare of driving very fast (usually down familiar roads) with no breaks! Sirens on my tail, but not always. As for interpretation, This ones easy – my greatest fear is that my life is passing me by so fast and I don’t have any control. Nor can I stop. Can’t disengage from friends, work, school. Trapped. Blah blah blah.
