Have you ever had a day full of rainbows and waterfalls, and supernatural? It’s definitely abnormal. From a waterfall to a sunset like I have never seen. It felt like magic as if I were a character in a book, who had ended up in a fairytale, not unlike Alice in her wonderland. There was even a rabbit I followed. Change Alice to Izzy and give her a faux hawk and age her about twenty years. Some experiences can be painted into a portrait with captivating words and others even images can’t do it justice.

I stood at the base of the waterfall, flooded with imprints of memories of days past, not my days, but others. I had become so hypnotized by the rhythm of the water that I had gone into a vibration of memories soaked into the dirt, into the rock, into the trees. I saw people gathering, I saw them at different times of days, I could see how and where they had set, I could hear their laughter. I could see at the edge of the cliff on the far side where someone had once stood long ago to bathe in the rushing water, to float in the pool of water, the wooden bowl that the water was gathered in. Nature has a memory, recording people in places. I was there to see the pretty water but I saw so much more.

There were rainbows, appearing in the sky one half of the mountain still seeing rain, the other half clear. Fog and low clouds settling in the distance looking more like snowy alps elsewhere in the world. A lot of scenery seemed to give the illusion of far off places, adding to the magic and mystique. It only added to the feeling that I had fallen out of bed into some alterverse where places blend and worlds coexist. Clouds that made portraits and looked like entrances to another world.

Then there was a rabbit, determined to eat, either so hungry it didn’t care about my presence or otherwise unusually comfortable with it. It made a lot of eye contact, I half expected it to reach into it’s fur and pull out a watch while muttering about being late and such. I admit that I would have followed it who knows where if the day hadn’t been winding down and the daylight and weather threatening to fade. I spent another portion of the afternoon half expecting for Scotty to beam me up, yes, there was a craft that showed up in photos. Why do the best adventures involve following a rabbit, or chasing the end of a rainbow? I am only slightly disappointed there wasn’t a unicorn or a creek mermaid, but this was only one day, never say never.
Sounds Fantastic!
